OBITUARY:

With the skill and knowledge of an engineer, no one could repair an automobile like James. He had that inner instinct to figure out the problem with any car and then make the necessary repairs. Whether taking a motor apart, or putting it back together, James did so with precision and patience. He easily knew which cars were good purchases and which ones were not. Although he was a gifted mechanic, he never boasted about his gift, but willingly shared it with others. James worked as a mechanic until his health failed him. James enjoyed traveling and sharing with others. Because he was a giver, he usually came home bearing gifts for family and friends alike.

James "Mike" Gallion was born on August 2, 1945 in Tchula, MS to the late Eliza Gallion and William Mike Sr. He slipped quietly into the sunset on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, MI. We praise God for 75 years and 172 days of love, laughter and fun.

He attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Milestone, MS at an early age.

James attended Tchula Junior High School formerly located in School House Bottom.
