Billie D. Cunningham-Russell was born on May 12, 1956 to the late Bishop William and Reverend Edna Stevens. She left this earthly home on January 14, 2021. Billie touched the lives of so many through her love and generosity. Her major mission in life was to impart wisdom and knowledge into the lives of young people. She never met a stranger. Rest well Shorts. Our hearts are broken, but with your help, in time we will heal.

Billie is preceded in death by her loving parents, Rev. William and Edna Stevens, son Josh Russell, brothers- in-law: Jerome, Amos, and Billy Hogan, sister Sabrina Stevens; Special Aunts: Juanita Stevens and Sylvia Richardson; Childhood friends: Wayne Powell, ,Derrick Kendrick, Beauregard O’Neal, Edward “Tweety” O’Neal (her brother from another mother.) Also preceded in death by cousins Matlyn Black; God Parents: Cal and Gladys Harrison, and loving friend Marcy McDonnell.

Left to cherish her memory: Spouse, Oscar Russell; Son, George (Lisa) Cunningham, Step-son Oscar (Tonya) Russell Jr , Step-daughters Della Lotier, Ciara (Johnathon) Sutton , Grandson Josh Cunningham; Brothers: William Stevens , Albert Stevens , Marvin (Jolene) Stevens, Lamont A. Shakoor, Khalid (Lucius) Ali; Sisters Barbara Smith, Georgia Rynes; Brother-in-law: Leon James Hogan; Special daughter Sandra Ard’on, Uncles: Joe (Exie) Stevens, Benjamin (Sharon) Richardson, Michael (Adrienne) Coleman, Anthony Jordan; Aunts: Shirley Coleman, Tondalayo Hall, Mildred Stevens, Betty (Richard) Davis, Gloria Ransom; God-daughters: Tia Lee, Tamra Lee; Special Friends; Rev. Bernetha Woods, Crystal Milton, Phyllis Brantley, Debra O’Neal, Rheshia Montgomery, Dottie Venus, Felina Purkiss, and Richard Lee. Also left to mourn Billie are numerous grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
