Obituary For Mrs. Juanita Curry

My sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Curry family. May the memories of Sis. Curry and God's love bring soothing comfort to your heart and soul for the strength you'll need to hold on to throughout this difficult time. I am forever grateful to Juanita for thinking enough of me to substitute for her in the Nursery at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. I also use to help out in the kitchen when she asked me to serve. She was a lovely person and will be certainly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will not be forgotten. Sandra Dunn & Chanice Kemp

I will always cherish the memories of Nita. So many projects together for GSBC—-special programs—pastor appreciation programs, church anniversaries and more. It was a joy working with Nita. She truly knew how to use her professional gifts for God's glory. Nita shared her children's victories but was always ready to help others celebrate theirs. . I thank God that our paths crossed, albeit for a short journey. My prayer is that the family and friends will be comforted in knowing that Nita touched many lives in such a special and impactful way. Her legacy will live on in them, also.

I have a few favorite memories of Mrs. Juanita, but my favorite is not really a memory but more of how she made everyone feel; warm and welcomed. I loved her laugh- which wasn't easy to draw out, and that's what made it so special! The sparkle in her eyes when surrounded by her family is something that made an indelible impression on me. She LOVED her family and you could see it- every single time. Personally, I want to thank you, Mom Curry, for the pride and encouragement you gave to me. To The Curry Family, our entire family continues to keep you in our prayers and in our hearts. Sincerest condolence to you. May she Rest In Eternal Peace. Jocelyn Muirhead and Family

There are no words that can really express the depth of your loss, but God in His infinite wisdom is always working on our behalf. I worked with Juanita as she was the secretary of Christian Education at Good Shepherd Baptist Church for many years. We will cherish her memory and may it bless you and your family years to come. The Apostle Paul writes to the church, "But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope" 1 Th.4:13. May God grant you the peace and serenity that only comes from Him. Dr. Henry Baptiste

Michael, So sorry to hear of the death of your mother. Even though we are not family, whenever we were together at gatherings, and people would inquire as to our relationship. She would tell them all: "we are cousins". I will definitely miss her and will keep you and the rest of your family in my prayers. Wendell Boyd Laurel, MD
