Leroy( Roy) King was born January 20, 1946, to the late Will and Cora King. He passed on January 25, 2021. Celebration of Life Services for Leroy will begin Sunday, January 31, 2021 with his Public Visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Goolsby Mortuary, located at 1375 Jonesboro Road, SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. The funeral Service for Leroy will be held Monday, February 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, his Interment will take place at Southview Cemetery located at 1990 Jonesboro Road, S.E., Atlanta, GA 30315. Mr King was like my bodyguard. He would always be sitting outside as I would go to work when I was working. There never wasn't a time that he would not speak to me or say something whenever I would go to my car or to the store. He was a very kind man to me. I called him my buddy. I will truly miss him sitting out in his motorized chair and miss waving at him as he would decide sometime to go for a spin on his motorcycle.This has been a hard pill to swallow 🥺💔😢because of how he passed and mostly because he was such a nice person.
