Obituary For Mr. Abraham Gilbert
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Abraham Gilbert on January 18th in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was born in Marianna, where he spent his childhood and attended public school. He served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War.
He leaves cherished memories with two brothers, Toney Gilbert and wife Mable of Marianna, Florida and Joseph Gilbert of Milledgeville, Georgia; one sister, Irma Linzy of Marianna, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will he held Thursday, January 28th at 1p.m. at the Murray Brothers’ Cascade Chapel in Atlanta. Interment will be held Friday, January 29th at 10a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, with Murray Brothers Funeral Home directing.
