Graveside service for Mary Lockhart, 82, of Phenix City, AL, formerly Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL 36830, Reverend James Q. Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Lockhart, who passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Bethany House in Auburn, AL, was born August 21, 1938 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Survivors include: five children, Chineta Hill of Columbus, GA, Lydia Carlisle, Sherry Lockhart both of Auburn, AL, Tracy (Gwendolyn) Lockhart of Opelika, AL and Ed Dowdell of Auburn, AL; four grandchildren, Dujana (Jerome) Williams of Covington, GA, Vontay Floyd of Opelika, AL, Shanetta (Daniel) Whittenburg of Atlanta, GA and Teneisha Harris of Columbus, GA; one sister, Mildred Howard of Syracuse, NY; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
