Obituary For David Malone Batey

David Malone Batey passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his residence in Eagleville, Tennessee, at the age of 60. He was born in Davidson County, Tennessee to the parents of Lucille Frieson Mulligan and Douglas Wright.

Those left behind to cherish his many memories; his loving and devoted wife, Juanita "Nita" Batey; children, Terry (Kendra) Batey and Trovon (Megan) Batey; grandchildren, Aaliyah Batey, Piper Batey, Leif Batey, Hazel Blanton and Jamey Blanton; parents, Douglas Wright and Lucille Mulligan; sibling, Gerald Batey, Ronald Batey, Bobby Batey, Eugene Batey, Michael Batey, James McHolder, Wilma Batey-Harbin, Casey Wright, Shannon Wright, Brandon Wright, Donald Wright, Donnell Wright, Keith Wright; aunts, Rose, Gwendolyn Baines; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, devoted friends, Billy and Carol Andrews and a host of other relatives and friends.

*** Due to COVID-19 there is a limit of how many people can enter the chapel at a time but everyone will be allowed to flow in to view as well as speak to the family and flow back out to allow others the same opportunity. In order to enter the funeral home and the church for viewing you MUST have on a mask per new regulation for the funeral home. You are responsible for supplying your own masks as well ***

Mr. Batey will lie in state on, Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2 until 5 at the funeral home.

Visitation with family Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 1 until 2 at Waters Funeral Home, 1408 Columbia Ave., Franklin, Tennesse, with funeral to began at 2:00. Elder Howard Rucker, officiating,

I am at a loss for words not knowing the right thing to say during this sorrowful time, but know that I am thinking of you and praying for you and his entire family.
