DUNN, Mrs. Lela Mae Stevenson – Age 92, January 24, 2021. Survived by four loving and devoted children, Edward C. (Linda) Stevenson, Marian L. Stevenson, Mary E. (Norman) Harris and Veatrice E. Storey. Also survived by four sisters, Annie M. Pillow (Detroit, MI), Catherine E. (George) Woodson, Doris C. (Vincent) Roland (Hampton, VA) and Lillian R. (Ahmed) Thomas (Atlanta, GA); 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, her ‘favorite’ niece Adrianne ‘Cookie’ White, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Lela was a graduate of Tenn. State Univ. and taught in Metro Schools for 30+ years. The family will receive friends for continuous visitation at Smith Funeral Directors, Inc., 708 Monroe Street, Nashville, TN on Wednesday, February 3 from 1 pm – 6 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 11:30 am at Smith Funeral Home for a few family members. Other friends can join the service via Zoom.
