Jesse worked various jobs throughout Greene County; Tastee Freeze-Hardees, Wellington Puritan, and was one of the first ACT van drivers under the supervision of Ms. Helen Smith. For the past twenty years Jesse was a sub-contractor for Bulldog Marine of Lake Oconee.
Jesse was joined in holy matrimony to Janice Norwood Broadus on Feb 15, 1985 and to this union three children were born. Two children preceded him in death Maurice Jarvell (infant) and Nathan Ortez Broadus. Also preceding him in death are his parents J.D and Irene Broadus, his maternal grandparents Hamp and Lillie Harris, paternal grandparents J.D. Broadus Sr. and Willie Mae Rhodes three aunts Andrea Parham, Viola Horton, and Gracie Varner.
Jesse transition to be with the Lord on Jan. 28, 2021, from Piedmont Hospital in Athens Ga, but precious memories will forever be the hearts of his wife Janice of (35yrs,); two sons Jesse Broadus Jr. (Marian) and Brandon J. Broadus. Five grandchildren; K'Nasia, Jarvell Tre', Na'kiya, and JeSiyah. One brother James (Vida) Broadus and one sister Cathy (James) Rowland. A mother-in-law Shirley Miller; four brothers-in-law: Chuckie(Pam) Griffin, Horace (Lisa) Griffin, Thomas Griffin and Mark Miller. Six sisters-in-law: Patricia Griffin, Caroi Llnen (South Carolina), Raven Miller and Alicia Miller, Judi Grant and Elaine Tophia both of Decatur Ga. A host of uncles, aunties nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Amongst his special friends were Henry Dorsey, Jericus Barnhart, James Rowland, Marion Rhodes, Dr. James Southerland, Andrea Mashburn and Michael & Laura Dent.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2021 from the Mt. Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Apalachee Ave. Greensboro, GA at 1pm.
