Pretlow, Mr. John Willie, Jr., age 76, of Glen Allen, departed this life January 29, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Pretlow, two daughters, Michelle Thomas and Vikki Pretlow, one son, John, III, one son-in-law, Stephen Thomas and one daughter-in-law Ryann Pretlow, three grandchildren, Mia Thomas, Jacob Thomas, and Olivia Pretlow, two step-grandchildren, MJ and McKenze Harden, his sister, JoAnn Ross, and his brother, Revardo Pretlow and a host of other relatives and friends. John was an active member of Westwood Baptist Church, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Pretlow Insurance Agency for more than 45 years. John will be remembered as a friendly, kind-hearted man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Remains rest at Scott’s Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Friday, February 5, at 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. A private funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6 at Scott’s Chapel.
