Obituary For Linda Ann Ligon

Mrs. Linda Ann Satterwhite Ligon was born in Muscogee County on February 8, 1950 to the late George and Christine Waller Satterwhite. On January 25, 2021, Linda quietly and peacefully departed this life at WellStar Health System Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

At an early age, Linda united with Greentown Heights Church of Christ in Manchester, Georgia.

She was a 1968 Carver High School graduate. Linda was married to the late John Lee Ligon. She was employed by the Harris County Board of Education Transportation Department and Callaway Gardens for 18+ years of dedicated service.

Linda is preceded in death by her son John L. Ligon, Jr. and a special friend and neighbor Patricia Jenkins.

Her memories will be cherished by a devoted and dedicated son: Terri Ligon of Pine Mountain, GA; two grandchildren: Keyanna Ligon of Atlanta, GA and Morgan Ligon of Hamilton, GA; one sister: Nancy Brooks of Pine Mountain, GA; nieces: April Hardnett of Jonesboro, GA; Tina George of Peachtree City, GA; Sondra Brooks Moss and Whitney Ligon both of Pine Mountain, GA; special nephew: Frentres Jenkins of Riverdale, GA; one aunt: Christine Waller of Manchester, GA; special community friends: Curtis and Josephine Bray, Marva Copeland, Charlie Tucker, Carolyn Moss, Nettie Tucker and Marion Tucker Brown and a host of adopted sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be January 30, 2021 at Pineview Cemetery 56 Dairy Loop Road Shiloh, GA 31826. Please wear face coverings during this graveside service. Please adhere to social distancing during this graveside service.

I have fond memories of Miss Linda from early childhood . She was such a lovely person. She would style my hair so pretty . When I would walk home on Saturdays. I would sling my head side to side. She always made me feel like a little Queen. Rest In Peace. Your family will always be special to me.
