Sis. Gladys is what she was called at the Hills of Glory COGIC was our Choir President. She kept us on our toes with songs she only knew and she had the patience to teach them to us. Sign me up for the Christian Jubilee, write my name on the roll... I've been changed since the Lord has lifted me and I want to be ready when Jesus come. RIP Morris E. Hafford

"Another leaf has fallen; another soul has gone. But still we have God's promises in every robin's song. She leaves the fragrant blossoms, and lovely forest, green. And gives us new found comfort, when we on Him will lean." We, the members of the Class of 1972, want the family to know that our hearts are with you as we gather to bid a Christian good-bye to our sister, friend, and classmate Mrs. Gladys Marie Simmons-Adams. We are encouraged and consoled in the words of Jesus who said, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee". To the family we know your loss is deep and your sorrow is great, but we want you to know that we share in your sorrow, but more importantly, we recognize that this loss is Heaven's gain. Humbly Submitted Jasper High School's Class of 1972 Jasper, TX

I'm gonna really miss Gladys....we go way back and I remember them being older than me and Pudden(Leonard Ray), but those were the days at Rowe...not to mention the Huff Creek Homecomings were so enduring....I remember very well when Alvin aka Choo Choo and Chunda were born, just like yesterday.....Robert was a surprise and I was already grown and had moved away when he came along....I'm saying all this to say that I knew my cousins well....I love her and she knew it....so I won't say goodbye, but merely I'll see you later Gladys....this guy loves you....now take your rest sweetheart, because the days of suffrage, pain, and heartache is no more....please give everyone a big hug and kiss for me....starting with Chunda....she slept away so quietly, that I didn't get to say so long, see you later.💜🙏😥
