Obituary For Ms. Mary Lee Lindsey Baldwin

Mary Lee Lindsey Baldwin was born June 3, 1944, in Barnesville, GA, to the late Samuel Lee and Mary Francis Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Fletcher L. Baldwin, Sr. Educated in the Lamar County School System, Mary Lee graduated from Booker High School in 1962. Shortly after graduating she moved to Atlanta, GA. In February 1968, Mary Lee was united in marriage to Fletcher L. Baldwin, Sr. of Atlanta, GA. At an early childhood age, Mary Lee joined Antioch Baptist Church, Yatesville, GA. As a devoted and faithful member, she sang in the choir for many years, became the finance secretary, prepared the church bulletins for all church events, and served as a mother of the church. Mary Lee worked for the Atlanta Police Department as a Property Clerk for over 25 years, before retiring in 1998.She also enjoyed selling Avon products for over 20 years. Mary and Fletcher moved back to her hometown of Barnesville in 2010, to be closer to her mom. She enjoyed being back with some of her sisters and mom everyday. Mary Lee enjoyed spoiling her grown children and other family by cooking for them, especially her homemade pancakes/waffles, and spaghetti. Mary and her mom were faithful fans of the Atlanta Braves. They loved watching, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every night, and enjoyed the word-find puzzle books. On early Sunday morning on January 24, 2021, the angels came and carried our loved one home. Mary Lee leaves to cherish her loving memories three children, Kelvin (Maxine) Langston, of Fairburn, GA, LeAnne Langston, of Barnesville, GA, and Jakendra Lindsey of Jonesboro, GA. Also to cherish her memories are : five grandchildren, Tiendria Langston, of Smyrna, GA, Kamauri Carr, Kameron, aka, Pete, Carr, and Kali Wilkes, all of Jonesboro, GA and Joshua Wiggins, of Norcross, GA; five siblings, Gracie Holder, Janie (Joseph) Paschal, Jewell Searcy, and Angela Lindsey all of Barnesville, GA, and Clarence (Sylvia) Lindsey of East Point ,GA; and a host of nieces, nephews,, other relatives , and friends. Mary Lee was loved and will be truly missed.

Graveside Services were held Saturday, January 30,2021 1:00 P.M. Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery
