Carl “Pooh” Curtis Shaw Jr. was born on Thursday, May 10, 1979 to Carl Curtis Shaw Sr. and Annie R. Shaw in St. Augustine, Florida. He was educated in Duval County School District. He enjoyed football. His favorite team were the Florida State Seminoles and San Francisco 49ers. He also enjoyed entertaining his family with his rapping, On Sunday, January 31, 2021, Carl “Pooh” Curtis Shaw Jr. left this earthly dwelling and stepped into eternal resting in Elwood, Fl. “Pooh” leaves behind to cherish his many memories: parents, Carl Shaw Sr. and Annie R. Shaw; children, Zaveyahn Gilmore and Janae Shaw; brother, Waymon Stevens; sisters, Katrina Shaw, Carla (Rickey) Smith, Carol Shaw; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sorrowing family and friends, along with his St. Joseph M.B church family.

A Celebration of Life will be held graveside at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Sanksville cemetery, in Picolata, Bishop Dr. Billy White Sr., New Life Church of Jacksonville, FL will bring the Words of Comfort.
