Graveside Service for Reverend Johnnie Lee King & Mrs. Mae Ola King will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Ousleydale Missionary Baptist Church, 3288 Cedar Ridge Road, Hartsville, South Carolina, where the Pastor is Reverend A. D. Robinson.
On June 6, 1946, a beautiful baby girl was born to Willie Sr. and Eola Graham Scott in Hartsville, South Carolina. They called her “Mae Ola”. As a child, Mae Ola’s desire to help others was already established; Mae Ola spent much of her youth sitting at the feet of her elders, learning how to care for others while simultaneously caring for her younger siblings.
Mae Ola was educated in the Chesterfield County School System and graduated from Pine Forest High School. She served in a domestic capacity for many homes and families in the McBee community.
She leaves behind to mourn: a daughter, Dr. Athena M. King; a son, Vashon L. (Natasha Jackson) King; a granddaughter, Jasmine King; three grandsons, Jonathan Hough, Jaylen King, and Jayce King; a great-granddaughter, Kingsley Hough; a sister, Lois (Willie) Evans, Jr.; six brothers, Billy (Marlene) Scott, Arthur (Lillian) Scott, Ronald (Debra) Hawkins, Lindell Scott, Steve Scott, and Willie (Sabrina) Scott; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other close relatives, friends, and extended church families.
Family Viewing will be held 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 at Mount Olive Word of Life, 812 South Sixth Street, Hartsville, South Carolina.
Please keep the family of Mrs. Mae Ola King in your thoughts and prayers.
