Leon "Pig" Earl Dawson, 69, of New Bern died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

His service is Noon, Thursday February 4, 2021 at the Dawson Family Cemetery 1639 Maul Swamp Rd., Vanceboro.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Dawson, New Bern; four sons, Anthony Pollord, Anthony Gardner, Leondro Gardner, Myron Gardner all of New Bern; three brothers, George Dawson, Greenville, Timmy Dawson and Michael P. Dawson both of New Bern; four sisters, Peacola Cox, Gloria Mabry both of Vanceboro, Diann Campbell, New Bern and Rose Knott, Grifton, NC; seven grandchildren.
