Obituary For Eddie Lee Edmondson

Funeral services for the late Mr. Eddie Lee Edmondson of 136 Stevens Street, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 12:00 Noon from the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Words of Comfort will be given by Reverend Carlos C. Davis, Pastor, New Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Mr. Eddie Lee “Eddie Rabbit” Edmondson was born on May 2, 1951 in Ashburn, Turner County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel, Sr. and Henritta Brown Edmondson.

Early in his life, Eddie confessed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he served faithfully for many years as a member of the choir and served as a member of the Usher Board for a short while. On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, our dearly beloved took his rest in the Master’s arms at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. Eddie leaves to cherish his memories his sisters, Mattie Davis, Ola Coffee, both of Orlando, Florida, Diana (Bennie) Hunt of Ashburn, Georgia; a brother, Reverend Samuel (Evelyn) Edmondson, Jr. of Ashburn, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family is in our prayers. My husband, Jerry, worked with Eddie for several years while employed at the City of Ashburn. Jerry always enjoyed working with Eddie.
