Obituary For Mary Ann Brewton Woodruff

Mrs. Mary Anne Brewton Woodruff was born April 20, 1952 to the late James Earl Brewton and Margie Black Brewton. She was the wife of Deacon James L. Woodruff who she loved and adored for more than 50 years. She went from labor to reward on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

She was a 1969 graduate of Fosters Grove High School and a 2004 graduate of Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. Mary was a former employee of Mayfair Mills where she served for more than 30 years until she began her studies to become a Paralegal. Mrs. Woodruff was a Deaconess and devout member of the Harrison Grove Baptist Church in Roebuck, SC under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Leon C. Rector, Jr. and currently Reverend Allen V. Rector, both whom she loved dearly. She also served as a choir member, New Member Orientation and Sunday School member and teacher and was the Co-Director of the Spiritual Eye of Christ Drama Team.

She was a member and the treasurer of the Queen of the South, Order of the Eastern Star #259. She was also the president and treasurer of the Willing Workers Sympathy Club.

Among many of her other accolades and accomplishments, her proudest was becoming a servant for her Master and Savior, Jesus Christ whom she was eager to spread the gospel for and tell anyone how her Lord and Savior saved her life. She was a beacon of light to anyone that graced her presence and she immediately declared them her family- spreading all of the love she had in her heart to all those she encountered.
