Obituary For Rose Lott

Mrs. Rose Mae Bell Ellerby Lott, age 68 of Greensboro NC. Received her "WINGS" on February 3, 2021 at 7:35 pm in Moses Cone Hospital with her only child Tracy N Bell by her side.

Rose was born October 3, 1952 in Concord NC. she was the youngest of seven Children born to the late Elmer Theodore Bell and Annie Mae Carson. She attended Charles H Moore, Caldwell, and Bluford Elementary School, Lincoln Jr High up to 9th grade in 1968. She attended an adult Learning Program while living in New York. She worked in her youth at the Country Club as a waitress, Choir Provider for The Department of Social Services here in Greensboro, While in New York she worked as a waitress, custodial worker, and c assembly worker at a Jewish Factory. Rose was known for her "SHARP" Tongue "BIG" Heart, Life of the party spirit and a special "REALNESS "about her. She Joined the United House of Prayer as a child with her parents Under Bishop C.M. Grace. She loved to Worship, Travel, Serve and Sing.

In her youth she joined the Young Peoples Choir of Greensboro. In 1960 she Joined the Greensboro Adult Choir. In 1985 she moved to New York and joined the Bronx Mission under Apostle F.R. Munn. There she participated on the Usher Board, was a member of the Kitchen staff and helped clean the Church Bathrooms a few days out of the week for several years. She also Joined the Choir in the New York Mother House the Holy Cross and participated with their kitchen staff on a regular bases. She returned to Greensboro NC in 1998 and Joined the Tambourine Band in Greensboro's House. Over the years she was a member of their Kitchen staff too. She Continued her Membership with Greensboro Adult Choir; as well and had many achievements of G Class Works "Top 10 Member in Greensboro's House and her last achievement was 2020-2021 G-Class Achievement "Runner up to the Top 100, St Rose Lott"

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her Husband Joseph Lott, Husband James Ellerby, Sister Wilma Bell Love, Brother Lee Edward Bell (Bubba), Brother Elmer T. Bell Jr. (June), Sister: Matty Mae Carson Bell Means, Dorothy Catharine Bell Linton.

She Leaves to cherish her memory: One daughter Ms. Tracy Nicole Bell, 6 Grandchildren: Damian Bell (Danielle), Ebony Bell Hulin (Glen}, Tracy Bell Cooper (Tristan), Rarey Blackson (Arielle), Octavia Blackson, (Foster Grandson) Raymond Overton (Shayna), 9 (10} great grands, DeAoun Bell, Darrius Bell, Damia Bell, Sonja Blackson, Elijah Blackson, Serenity Blackson, Tristan Cooper Jr. (TJ), Trinity Cooper, Saria Underwood, (Kyray. Over:ton) One Sister Mrs. Annie Virginia Bell Wells all of Greensboro. Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins in Greensboro, New York, Greenville, Michigan,and Bennettsville SC and many Dear friends Her sisters from another mother Dennis Gray, Etta Boyd and several others.

A public viewing will be held Friday, February 19, 2021, from 3 PM-5 PM in the Cassie Coote-Brown Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Sis Lott will be missed greatly , she was such a dedicated member of The United House of Prayer , her faithfulness and dedication to volunteering in the cafeteria , a faithful nightly member , and dedicated Sunday School member as well as being a member of the Greensboro Adult Choir . She will forever be missed by all of us here a the House of Prayer her memory will live on in the heart of our congregation . Our thoughts and prayers are extended to her family and friends .
