It is difficult for me to understand the separation when one of our prized jewels leaves us. You search for her and she cannot be found, you call for her and she does not respond, you wait and you realize she is not coming. It is only the eternal memories in our hearts that seem to remain. You miss her calls and you miss her voice. When I think of Lillie "Betty", I readily remember what a wonderful and loving person she was. She touched the lives of so many families. We often lived in the same areas, New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta. When we did not see each other, we communicated by telephone regularly and our friendship never diminished. We always said, we were friends for life. I want Rene to know I share her loss. Due to other previous commitments, I am unable to travel to Georgia for the service. I will always remember how BLESSED I have been to have known "Betty" over the years. Melvin R. Collins, Sr. - Virginia Beach, VA.

Cousin Betty was such a sweetperson; free-spirited, fun, loving, and always smiling. She often shared memories of my dad and his brothers and other family members. I will really miss our lengthy phone conversations and the close relationship we developed over the many years. You'll always have a special place in my heart. Please hug and kiss my mom and dad and continue on with all the love and laughter in your heavenly home. Prayers for you Rene as well as peace and comfort. Love Always, Kimberly Bray-Paul
