Mr. Carlton Lyons was born January 19, 1955 to the late Mrs. Mary Lee Pennyman Lyons and the late Mr. William Marrion Lyons in Thomaston. Upson County, Georgia . He attended public school in the Yatesville County School System.

After high school, Carlton joined the United States Army and served for 4 years. After his time spent serving his country, Carlton became a Brick Mason and worked for various companies throughout his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Annie Lizzie Lockett, and Three Brothers: William Marion Lyons Jr., Marvin Lyons and Willie John Lyons. On Monday, January 25, 2021 the Lord saw his son in distress. He whispered his name, he answered and went home to rest.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Chance (Jamoni) Lyons of Covington, GA; two sisters, Shirley Lyons of Yatesville, GA; Marilyn Lyons of Thomaston, GA; six grandchildren; a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends all who will miss him dearly
