Obituary For Nuraul Jones

The funeral services for the late Ms. Nuraul Jones of 611 Gorday Drive, Apt. 13, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia, will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 12:00 Noon from the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Ms. Nuraul Jean Parker Jones paseed peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021 after a decline in health and a lengthy stay at South Georgia Rehabilitation Center in Tifton, Georgia. Ms. Naraul was born in Ashburn, Georgia on May 24, 1947 to the parentage of Gussie Butler and Robert L. Parker, Sr.

Nuraul joined the Antioch Baptist Church at the age of twelve. She was educated in the Turner County Public School System. After graduating from high school, Nuraul further her education by attending Morris Brown College, and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.

Nuraul taught in the Turner County and Worth County Public School Systems. She also worked at the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.

Preceding her in death are six brothers, David Butler, Robert Parker, Roger Parker, Judge Parker, Gary Parker, and Fletcher Parker; three sisters, Catha Mae Wilson, Clara Goodman and Elizabeth Parker.

She leaves to mourn her passing a brother, Carl (Sonji) Parker of Sylvester, Georgia; seven sisters, Annie Doris Coppin of Harris Co., Martha Williams of Toronto, Canada, Mary Lizzie (Jackie) Morris of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mary Lois Johnson, Cecilia Dent, Jennifer Rainey, all of Atlanta, Georgia, and Linda Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends and loved ones.
