Obituary For Mr. James "Bay" Lee Trice

Mr. James Lee Trice, more affectionately known as "Bay," was born on March 19, 1950 in Thomason, Upson County, GA, to the late Mrs. Lucille Colbert Trice and the late Mr. John West Trice. Bay was educated in the Upson County School System and attended Drake High School. While in high school, he played football and made friendships that would last a lifetime. In his early years, Bay was employed B. F. Goodwrich. He later found employment with the Georgia Department of Transportation, where he was employed as a maintenance clerk for over thirty-two years. He was a loyal and faithful employee. During his manhood, Bay met and courted Ms. Earnestine Brown. On December 30, 2004, they were joined in marriage. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He possessed a loving and joyful spirit that made you enjoy being in his presence. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, listening to blues music, playing cards, telling jokes, and talking with his friends. He especially loved children and pinching his nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, Bay was preceded in death by his three brothers, Bobby Holmes, Willie Frank Trice, and Palmer Trice. On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, the Lord decided that the time of Bay’s departure was at hand. He called his name, and Bay answered and went home to his eternal resting place.
