Obituary For William "Buck Wheat" Walker

( June 7, 1954 -- February 6, 2021)

Tyler--Funeral services for Mr. William Walker of Tyler, Texas for Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12 noon at Peoples Baptist Church. Pastor Develron Walker will be serving as eulogist. **FACE MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE REQUIRED** Burial will follow in Hopewell Community Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mr. Walker was born on June 7, 1954 and transitioned on February 6, 2021. Mr. Walker was 66 years old.

Mr. Walker attended TISD schools, a life resident of Smith County and a member of Peoples Baptist Church where he sang in the Male Chorus and was a member of the West Side Riding Club.

He was preceded in death by his father, spouse, one daughter and one brother. His cherished memories are left to his mother: Margaret Walker, Tyler; sons: Antrone Walker, Tyler, Henry Walker III, Dallas, Dewayne King, Oklahoma, David King, Tyler and step son, Kenneth Black, Dallas; daughters: Talithia Jones, Tyler, Shakitrice Shears, Longview, Angelica Wallace, Tyler and step daughters: Saretha Black and Carla Black both of Tyler; brothers Elder Bobby Walker Sr., Cassmer Walker and Lee Walker of Tyler, Gary Walker of Houston, Norman Walker of Longview, Barbara McCoy of Lubbock, Shirley Long of Longview, Loria McKenzie, Sheryl Moore, Margaret Battles and Bonita Galloway all of Tyler, Texas; twenty seven grandchildren, forty seven great grandchildren, and one great great child.

Public viewing will be on Friday, February 12, from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
