Obituary For Amie Lee Harris

Amie Lee Harris 68 of Cooper, TX died Friday March 17, 2017 in Plano, TX. Services will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Ford Missionary Baptist Church in Roxton,TX; with Rev. Steven Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Ford Cemetery. Services are under the direction of J.C. White Funeral & Cremation Services of Mt. Pleasant, TX. Viewing will be held Friday March 24, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Viewing will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.

Amie Lee Harris was born August 5, 1948 in Honey Grove, TX to the parents of Marshall D. McCarty and Lola Myrtle Jimmerson. She graduated from Givens High School. She accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Mt. Carmel under the leadership of the late Pastor R. L. Gray. Later, she became a member of the RockyFord Baptist Church under the leadership of her son the Pastor S.L. Harris until her health failed her. The Legacy Amie has joined the cloud of witness that had proceed her in death: Loving Mother Lola Jimmerson, Father Marshall McCarty, Brothers: Willie D. McCarty, Marshall D. McCarty, Sister: Hattie Mae McCarty, Grandparents: Elnora Lee and George Jimmerson and two special friends Juanita Owens and Edith Barber. Amie Harris leaves to cherish her memory: her lovely husband Glenn Williams, Seven kids: Joyce Holt, Agnes Harris, David Harris, Alice Bradley(L.K.), Lola Young(Kenneth), Doris Lane(Sammuel) and Rev. Steven Harris(Shavondra) and F Five lovely God Kids: Valerie Green(Stefan), Kaye Smith, Requeitta Smith, Ken Smith and Shan Rhone, 32 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
