For Dr. Malcolm Leon Johnson

Will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1PM, at Big Bethel AME Church 220 Auburn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. Interment Lincoln Cemetery with Reverend William Major officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2021 from 10AM – 6PM at Alfonso Dawson Mortuary.

It is with great sadness that the family of Malcolm Leon Johnson announces his passing, on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at the age of 73. Malcolm spent most of his life in Atlanta, GA. He was a graduate of Lucy Craft Laney High School in 1966 and received his BS from Morehouse College in 1970. Malcolm was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, served in Leadership Atlanta and an active member of Hillside Chapel & Truth Center. He spent several years working as a chemist at multiple companies including Johnson & Johnson, M&M Products and Kimberly Clark. Malcolm later opened up his own practice in natural medicine, Godobe Health Services in 1998. Preceded in death by his parents Jasper Leon and Wilhelmina Johnson. Malcolm is survived by his sister, Karen Johnson and brother Harold Johnson. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Malcolm Johnson Jr (Nikki), Rosalyn Johnson mother of Meegan Barnes (John) and Morgan Johnson; his five grandchildren, Jasmine, Malcolm III, Harper, John III, and Jaxon and a hosts of cousins, uncles and friends.
