Obituary For Melvin Lambert Sr.

Mr. Melvin Frank Lambert Sr., son of the late Frank and Rosetta Lambert was born January 12, 1936 in West End, NC and passed away on Thursday February 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Lambert.

He attended West End Elementary and graduated from Pinckney High School in Carthage, NC on May 31,1954. Melvin was a member of East White Oak Baptist Church and served as an usher for several years. He retired from Gilbarco after 35 years. He was honorary Past Potentate of Khalif Temple #144, Greensboro Consistory 33 Degree Mason, Honorary Past Master #12 St. John’s Lodge.

He loved attending Carolina Panthers and NC A&T football games. Melvin loved golfing, bowling, hosting family events and spending time with family and friends.

Melvin is preceded in death by his brothers, James Willie, Bobby Jean, and Clyde. Sisters; Mary Charles and Toni. Melvin is survived by his wife Stella Lambert of 32 years. Daughters; Patricia Coleman (Michael Sr.) and Janice Martin of Greensboro. Sons; Melvin Jr., Michael of Atlanta, and Tyrone (Norma Jean) of Greensboro. Stepson; Patrick Clemons of Greensboro. Brother; Lee Daniel (Betty) 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of other relatives, family, and friends

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the Cassie Coote-Brown Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held Friday, February 19, 2021, at Carolina Biblical Gardens Jamestown, North Carolina.
