Deacon Annette Rebecca Reid Brooklyn, NY - Graveside service for Deacon Annette Rebecca Reid will be conducted on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 5032 Fellowship Road, Williston, SC 29853, with Reverend Dr. Joe F. Singleton and Reverend Rashad Moore officiating. Visitation is on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Simmons Funeral Home of Williston, Inc. & Cremation Service. Deacon Annette Rebecca Reid was born December 24, 1945 in Barnwell, South Carolina to her parents, the late Adam and Esther Robinson. On January 31, 2021 Annette departed this life to spend Eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Annette received her formal elementary and high school education in Delray Beach, Florida. She attended Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, New York and received a Baccalaureate of Science Degree in Marketing/Sales. She earned a degree in Dental Assistant from Manhattan College of Dentistry and a certificate in Advance American Sign Language, she was a volunteer for a Mentoring Program for underprivileged children, and a Project Business Teacher for Children Aide's Society. Annette worked for the New York Telephone Company until she retired. Annette served faithfully at the First Baptist Church Crown Heights of Brooklyn, New York as an Usher and a Deaconess and did whatever was asked of her. Annette is a member of the Alumni Department, School of Ushering Instructors Staff and William H. Davis Honor Club. She was the local Chairman of the Education Department. On the State level she held the position of Alumni Chairman, William H. Davis Honor Club Chairman and the Recording Secretary for New York State. On the Regional Level: Education Department Chairman and on the National level: William H. Davis Honor Club Chairman. Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Artoro Reid; brothers, Theodor Robinson, John Robinson, Isaiah Robinson, Willie Lee Robinson; sister, Annie Lee O’Neal; granddaughters, Linda Manigolt and Heaven Ross, leaving to cherish her memories a son, Glenn (Amy Jo) Raysor; daughter, Anita Thomas; sister, Reverend Anna P. Robinson; grandchildren, Carolann (Brandon) Rucker, Daffany Raysor, Jeremy Raysor, Troy Jones, Jr.; 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19 the family kindly ask that no physical visits to the family house at this time. Feel free to reach out to them through calls, social media, and prayers.
