Dear Brother-in-Law, my brother, my friend. My heart is heavy because I did not get a chance to say goodbye. When we spoke several months ago, you thanked me for being there for the family. Funny, I was thanking you for being there for me regarding a family emergency .... You did not hesitate. You didn't have a plan. I was clueless! But somehow, you worked it out and I was so appreciative. There are so many family memories that I will always cherish. Your smile, your laughter, your sense of humor and the occasional stubbornness will be missed. Brother, God saw that you needed to rest. He wrapped his arms around you and carried you home. I will miss you. We will miss you. You will never be forgotten. You are now at peace. Sheila F. Brown (Your chocolate eclair buddy) πŸ‘πŸΎ

I give my most sincerest condolences to the family of Billy Harris. When I met him I knew he would be the perfect father-in-law for my daughter. He was kind, loving, humorous and quick witted. At family gatherings I always enjoyed his company. I also admired the immense love and respect that he had for his family and his family had for him. He will truly be missed. Our families have been a part of each other's lives for many decades. We shared love, joy, wonderful memories, support and as all families do, occasions of grief as we do now. When I think of "Billy" I will always cherish our family-ties through the 1950's and moving forward. Billy was loving, caring, choosing the perfect words for the happy and sad occasions we shared...doing all he did with class and compassion, such a very special man who loved his family (as they did him), holding them close. Although I am sad that "Billy" as he will always be to me is no longer with us physically here on earth, he will never leave us through love, treasured memories and spirit. My love, prayers for family strength, are with the Harris' and entire Family during this difficult time. God Bless Always, Sharmon Paschal Thornton Arlington, VA (formerly of Richmond, VA)
