Obituary For Mrs. Ipanna Aklin Scott (Hemingway, SC)

Ipanna Aklin Scott was born on June 16, 1952 in Georgetown County to the late Coid and Martha Aklin. She departed this life on February 8, 2021 at McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC. Ipanna received her education at Choppee High School in Georgetown, SC. She was employed by AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach, SC and later Wellman Industries in Johnsonville, SC. She was joined in holy matrimony to William Scott, Jr. who preceded her in death. She has five children and daughter Erica D. Stephens also preceded her in death. Ipanna accepted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She became a member of Trinity A.M.E. Church in Hemingway, SC. Under the leadership of her husband Rev. Williams Scott, Jr. she became the First Lady of Reidsville A.M.E. Church and Chapel A.M.E. Church in Paxville, SC, where she sang beautifully on the Gospel Choir. After the death of her husband, she returned home to Trinity A.M.E. Church until her health failed. She leaves to cherish her memories are her children: Leron Stephens of West Haven, CT, Willette (Rodney) Roseboro of Harrisburg, NC, Marlisa Scott of Hemingway, SC and Sierra Brown of Greenville, SC. Her sisters: Emma Coleman of Bridgeport, CT, Jenett Aklin of Hemingway, SC, Elaine (Tim) Joseph of Bridgeport, CT, Carathia President of Burlington, NC, Hope (Tim) Pugh of Dunn, NC, Hilda (Gary) of Burlington, NC. Brothers; Hoyte Aklin (Lee) of Brooklyn, NY, Willie Aklin (Beverly) of New Haven, CT, Jerald Aklin (Tonya) of Hamden, CT, Jobie Aklin of Hemingway, SC, Matthew Aklin (Tracy) of Hemingway, SC. Grandchildren; Marzanba Stephens of West Haven, CT, Leron and Natalia Stephens of Los Angeles, CA, Dezmond Scott of Sierra Vista, AZ, Rodney (RJ) and Xavier Roseboro of Harrisburg, NC, Jordan Scott of Columbia, SC, Jayden and Jayleen Scott of Burlington, NC. One uncle, Bill Parmley of Conway, SC. Four sisters-in-law; Jannie Nesmith, Flora Nesmith, Essie Scott and Mattie (Willie)Fulmore. One brother-in-law, James Scott and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
