Obituary For Percell Bishop

I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning… to the end. He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears, but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

Percell Bishop, age 43, of Warrenton, North Carolina departed this life on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his residence.

Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend Carson F. Jones, Jr., pastor will officiate.

Percell loved his family, especially his children. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory and legacy, five children, Keiona Bishop, A'mont Williams, Taylor Bishop, Parker Bishop, and Mahogani Williams; one granddaughter, Alaiyah Williams; his parents, Bessie Woodard Taylor( Willie) and Andrew K , Bishop, Sr.; his siblings, Tyrone Woodard, Andrew Bishop, Jr. (Melonie), Rudolph Bishop, Demetris Bishop, Kennedine Bishop Mack( the late Bernard), and his beloved ShaLonda Morgan Bishop; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

"Death may leave a heartache no one can heal, but LOVE leaves a memory no one can steal." My heart is heavy and I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dearest Cousin Percell ("Pert"). We move throughout this life journey knowing there will be joys and some days of sadness, but the greater spirit in life is knowing the promises of God and the gift of everlasting life. Percell was such a kind, humble, humourous and most hard-working young man. I will cherish our memories growing up in Durham and summer visits in Rich Square. The greater peace I have is knowing you have the victory and God needed you more now. We will be forever connected in spirit and God's LOVE. Wishing the family, Shalonda and children, Aunt Bessie, Uncle Kenny and my dearest cousins peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to forever hold in our hearts. Rest well and soar high Percell! Blessings, Letitia Diann Williams and family (Atlanta, GA)
