Apostle Samuel Ervin, Jr. age 75 of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on March 2, 1945 to the late Samuel Ervin Sr. and Birdie Lee Shaw Ervin.

He was the founder and Pastor of El Shaddai Full Gospel Independent Baptist Church in Iron Station, North Carolina.

Funeral Service will be Friday, February 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at El Shaddai Full Gospel Independent Baptist Church with receiving of friends at 2:30 p.m. Burial is to follow in the church cemetery. A public walk through will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday night at the Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife. Apostle Pecolia Ervin of the home, two sons, Eugene (Myra) Ervin of Charlotte, NC, Rodney (Tarrow) Ervin of Kings Mountain, NC, four daughters, Roslyn Ervin of Mt. Holly, NC, Rhonda (Sean) Parker of Raleigh, NC, Yvette (Cliff) Robinson, Thurnetta (Reggie) Anderson all of Lincolnton, NC, four sisters, Elder Shirley Moore, Ollie Curry all of Gastonia, NC, Darlene Leach, Eloise Ervin both of Charlotte, NC, nineteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
