Obituary For Wyatt Brown Jr.

Wyatt Brown Jr., 84, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Atrium Health - Pineville, Charlotte, NC. Wyatt Brown Jr, affectionately known as Jr. to his family and friends, was born to the late Wyatt Brown Sr. and Francina Reid Brown on September 29, 1936 in Lancaster, SC. He was married to Mae Dean Adams Brown.

Jr. was a member of Camp Creek A.M.E. Zion Church.

Jr. was educated in the Lancaster County School System. He was a 1956 graduate of Hillside High School.

Jr. leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife Mae Dean Brown; four children, Glenn Dale Brown, Patrick (Dedra) Brown and Tasha (Reginald) Dixon, all of Lancaster, SC and Gwendolyn James of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother Francis Lloyd (Nannie) Brown of Lancaster, SC; one sister, Wyscle (Clarence) Washington of Lancaster, SC; one aunt, Ada Reed of Buffalo, NY; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Sunday, February 21, 2021 in the parking lot of Camp Creek AME Zion Church at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery. Services will be conducted by Reverend Charles Crockett. Everyone is required to wear masks and adhere to the social distancing rules as outlined by the CDC. Services will be at Stewart Funeral Home if inclement weather prevails.

Viewing will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Stewart Funeral Home.
