Vernell Virginia Kersey Person, age 85, of Norlina, North Carolina departed this life on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Zebulon Rehabilitation Center in Zebulon, North Carolina.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Cooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend Tony W. Cozart, Pastor will officiate.

Vernell Virginia Kersey Person leaves a legacy to cherish her memories: one daughter, Rose Michell Person (James) of Warrenton, NC; two sons, Curtis Wayne Person (Wanda) of Warrenton, NC and Andre Terrell Person (Yvette) of Lawton, OK; two sisters, Cassandra Kersey of Henderson, NC, and Delores Williams of Philadelphia, PA; four brothers, John Kersey of Pemberton, NJ, James Kersey (Ann) of Raleigh, NC, Ted Kersey of Louisburg, NC and Alvin Kersey (Ella) of Middleburg, NC; six grandchildren, Latoya Richardson, Chandria Person, Niesha Thompson, Jaquala Myhand, Sidney Harrison and Sibrina Harrison; five great-grand children, Amaria, Tristan, Jade, Zamir and Kaliyah; one uncle, George Campbell (Debra) of Ridgeway, NC, and her loving, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She may be viewed on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, North Carolina.
