Obituary For Shirley E. (Peanut) Fairley

Mr. Shirley Edward (Peanut) Fairley, 74, of Carson, Mississippi passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his residence in Bassfield, Mississippi.

He is the son of the late John C. and Myrtle Oatis Fairley. He was a member of Blackmon Temple C.M.E. Church, Carson, Mississippi where he served on the trustee board.

Mr. Fairley was master brick mason who loved coon hunting, watching and attending ball games, was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and Jefferson Davis Community High School Jaguars and loved spending time with family and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, February 22, 2021 at Gray Memorial Gardens at 11am.

He is survived by: wife, Linda Fairley of Bassfield, MS; sons, Darren Fairley of Bassfield, MS; Kenneth Adams of Pascagoula, MS; Darnell Booth of Hattiesburg, MS; Jonathan Hall of Houston, TX; daughters, Glenda Rawls and Junita Price both of Bassfield, MS; Sharonda Keys of Gulfport, MS; and Lilcreshia Williams of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Joe Fairley and Samuel Fairley both of Carson, MS; sisters, Joyce Harrington of Lewisville, TX and Gilda Jefferson of Bassfield, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm and family hour: 6-8pm.
