Dear Erika, Courtney, Reverend Nelson, and Family, I consider myself blessed to have known Debra for the past several years. Debra was a beautiful, inspiring woman with a contagious smile and unmatched spirit. Even when faced with tremendous challenge, her love for others, passion for life, and determined spirit were relentless. We mourn her transition from this earth but have comfort in knowing she is now at peace, an angel with God forevermore. It was an honor to care for her. In deepest sympathy, Elizabeth Kirkland

Eugene & Julia Frazier, Sylvia Blake, Lillie Mae Riley, Rosa Fergerson and Jacqueline Hill To our dearest sister Eva, the Seabrook and Nelson family, we offer our deepest sympathy in the death of your beloved daughter, mother and wife. To her sisters, brother, other relatives and close friends, we offer you our sympathy as well. We have so many wonderful memories of Debra. Especially on our last family outing at Wannamaker Park in 2019; it was such a joyous occasion to see her feeling better and doing so well. Like always, whenever we got together, she didn't fail to imitate Jule's dancing. She also said how much she was enjoying being with everyone. We will miss our niece, especially at future family gatherings We are praying for God's strength and peace and comfort for our family. May Debra soul rest in the Lord. Psalm 100 Verse 5 "For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting;' and His truth endureth to all generations."

To Cousin Eric, Erica, Courtney, the Seabrooks, the Nelsons, other family members, and close friends, we offer our heartfelt condolences on the death of our beloved Cousin Debra Nelson. Debbie was a true servant of God and a strong Christian woman who was warm, compassionate, and had a loving soul. Her love and devotion to God and family was inspiring. As we were growing up, Debbie would babysit us when our parents went out. Debbie embodied Black Girl Magic before it was even a popular phrase. Her smile, her laughter, and her jokes brightened any room she entered. She did not allow her health issues to interfere with sending us little messages on Facebook reminding us that she loved us. We will miss Cousin Debbie, but are comforted by the fact that she's with God in heaven. May God's peace, love, grace, and mercy abound as you grieve during this most difficult time. Eric and Janelle Fergerson

Words are not keen enough to express what First Lady "Debra" meant to Lady Holmes and I. She was poised, beautiful, friendly, and always insisting on helping us whenever we would call. There were times laughed, cried, prayed, and just talked about how blessed we were, the children, and heaven knows those grandchildren. First Lady "Debra" has truly left a void in our heart, she was truly a sister to Lady Holmes and a friend to me. Rev. Dr. Arthur & Souvillia Holmes
