Mrs. Frankie Lee Smith August 26, 1934 - February 15, 2021

Powder Springs, Georgia - Mrs. Frankie L. Smith 86, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA. Mrs. Smith was born August 26, 1934 to late Willie Frank Mack and Georgia Grimmett Mack in Columbus, GA. Frankie entered holy matrimony with the late Benjamin Smith Jr. She received her education in the Muscogee County School system, graduating from Spencer High School in 1953. She worked for many years as a cashier at the Post Exchange in Fort Benning, GA and was a seamstress. She was a devoted retired member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Mack's Beauty #105 Modern Free Mason of the World). Her Christian experience was first at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Columbus, GA where she sang with Choir #2. She later transferred to Calvary Baptist Church, Hurtsboro, AL, where she was active with the vacation Bible School, Missionary, Deacon Wives Ministry and sang in the Inspiration choir. She was a former member of the Columbus Community Choir. She will be remembered as a strong caring, fun, loving and dependable woman who provided guidance and friendship to numerous family and friends. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Smith Jr.; parents Willie Frank Mack and Georgia Grimmett Mack; siblings Levi Jackson and Sarah Jackson Billins.

She will be cherished with loving memories by her children Dorothy Engram, Gwendolyn (Kapers) Williams, Janet (Keith) Faulks, Royce (Glenda) Anderson, Anthony Smith and Chris Smith. Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside Services for will be held 3:00PM Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Hurtsboro, Alabama with the Pastor Reverend Chris Nun, officiating.
