Obituary For Mr. William Lewis "Pokey" Reviere

Mr. William Lewis Reviere, more affectionately known as “Pokey,” was born on August 7, 1959 to the late Mrs. Evelyn Brown Reviere and the late Mr. John Allen Reviere, Sr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. At the age of 11, he confessed to Christ as his savior, joined and was baptized at the Fellowship Baptist Church. His early education was in the Upson County Public School System, and he attended R.E. Lee High School. Mr. William Lewis Reviere reached manhood, and he worked on several jobs. He was content in being at home and taking care of his parents; a job that he loved the most. He worked with Harper’s Tree Service until his health no longer permitted him to work. He was known by his friends as Pokey and loved to love on people; something he evidently learned from his parents. He loved kids, having several God children whom he adored. He was a big man with a huge heart who seemed to always find the good in others. Mr. William Lewis Reviere loved spending time with the children in the family, talking to his friends, watching television, mostly westerns, and riding around in his green truck. Mr. William Lewis Reviere was preceded in death by his parents. On Wednesday, February 17, 2021, he passed peacefully at his home into eternal rest. His sudden departure has saddened the hearts of his family and friends. Mr. William Lewis Reviere leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Mr. Milton Reviere of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Beach of Carson, CA, Mr. John Allen (Angela) Reviere, Jr. of Ellicott City, MD. Min. Evelyn Lucille (Marcus) Thompson of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Mary (Quantez) Asberry of Lithonia, GA, Mr. Edwin Reviere of Thomaston, GA and Mrs. Loretta Reviere(Anthony) Perry of Fairburn, GA; one aunt, Mrs. Janie Green of Thomaston, GA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
