Obituary For Mary Louise Woods
Mary Louise Woods passed away on February 19, 2021. She was born to the late Gusto and Annie Lee (Mitchell) Woods on August 17th, 1943 in Selma, Alabama. She was a graduate of Autauga County Training School, Autaugaville, AL. She worked many years as a nurse technician. She was hardworking and found joy in life by helping and caring for others.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 11 am until 1 pm at the Robinson's Friendly Funeral Chapel, 4301 Main Street, Moss Point. MS. The viewing will be followed by a 1 pm graveside service at the Gable Cemetery, Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Winston Woods and James Woods, three sisters: Annie Maude Dailey, Maggie S. Woods Calhoun, Gussie Woods, and two sons.
She is survived by her children: Cathy Woods, Vickey Woods, Trendall Edwards, Spencer Edwards, Roshonda Edwards, and Ebony Davis; sisters: Eva W. Magee and Betty J. Woods, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, special extended families, Dr. Alice Maiers and family, the Gautier family, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends too many to list. She loved them all.

I grew up in Mary's house! She was 2nd mother to me& I loved her w all of my heart! She was my moms good friend & confidant. Living across the st from each other myself Carla & her daughter Cathy were family!! So many fun memories!! Love you Mary & miss you already!!

Whenever I saw Mary, I would run and jump into her arms, just like when I was little. It never occurred to me that we might both be getting a bit too old for that. She ALWAYS caught me.

Mary was truly the best woman I've ever known. She was love and warmth and joy personified. I met her as a baby and over 50 years later she was still teaching me about the important things in life and giving me lessons on Love, Forgiveness, Faith and Hope.
