Obituary For Anita Dent Dixon

Evangelist Anita (Gail) Dent Dixon a resident of Port Arthur, Texas and native of Zachary, LA was born on June 27, 1962. Anita gained her wings on Feb 18, 2021. Anita was faithful member of The Cathedral of Faith of Opelousas, La (Pastor Gloria Ned Coleman) and fellowshipped during her stay in Texas at Christian Church of Port Arthur, TX (Pastors Paul and Brenda Queen). She was baptized at the early age and ordained as an evangelist on January 14, 2007. Anita graduated from Zachary High class of 1980. She worked as a store manager for 25 years for McDonald’s until resigning to pursue her love for cooking and helping others. As a manager she took pride in training, hiring and mentoring her staff. To know her was to love her. Anita enjoyed going to church, spreading God’s word, traveling, shopping, caring for others, and most of all spending quality time with her family and close friends. She was the true backbone and glue of the family always serving and cooking delicious food, planning family holidays and gathers, and making guest feel welcomed. Although she was the youngest sister of six, she played a major roll by always caring for her mother & siblings. Her outgoing personality was contagious, she was truly beautiful inside and out with a loving spirit that could light up a room. Gone to soon but not forgotten, Anita was thankful for those who loved her most. Precious memories of Anita will forever live in the hearts of her beloved husband Clyde Dixon (Port Arthur, TX), her two children, Derrick Dent and Alicia Dent-Sylvester (David, Sr.) of Zachary, LA, two stepchildren Kitina Armstrong (Elliot, Sr.) and Jhamiah Dixon of Port Arthur, TX.
