Jerry Carter was born August 5, 1963 in Leake County, MS, to Annie Pearl Carter Dailey. He was the oldest of four children.

Jerry joined Greater Ebenezer M.B. Church. He graduated from Mississippi School of the blind, where he was a wrestler. He loved his family and being outside. He loved to work before his health slowed him down. He is known as coon-biscuit by family and friends. No-0ne was a stranger. He loved his dog "Winston".

Jerry departed this life at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.,on February 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Pearl Dailey.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Tre'Kena carter of Midland, Texas,(1) brother, Michael Lee Dailey of Crofton, Maryland, (2) sisters, Marilyn Carter of Dayton, Ohio and Ruby Carter of Marydell, MS; and three special children of Covington, Louisiana. Also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, his church family at Greater Ebenezer M.B. Church, three special animals: Winston, Cast, and Lucky.
