A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27th, at the V.F.W. in Nocona.
Jamie was born June 28, 1984 in Wichita Falls, TX to Waldo Huber and Sherral Tarpley. In 2003 he graduated from Gold-Burg High School. Jamie then joined the United State Marine Corps in September 2003, and served until August 2011. During his service, Jamie served 3 combat tours in Iraq, he ranked as a Sergeant, with duties as Weapons and Ammunition officer. He was awarded numerous medal and ribbons, including the Marine Corp Good Conduct Medal, Navy and Marine Scope Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Meritorious Mast, Marine Corp Letter of Appreciation, Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the SMCR Medal.
On July 21, 2018, Jamie married Christina Cahill in Nocona, TX. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and family, music and being the DJ at the V.F.W. and American Legion in Nocona.
Jamie is survived by his wife Christina Huber of Nocona; children Jared Long, Elexis Long, Seth Long, all of Nocona, Marisha Huber, Sascha Huber, both of Tyler, and David Huber of Fort Stockton, TX; mother Sherral Maxwell and husband Eric of Challis, Idaho; father Waldo Huber and wife Veta of Sunset, TX; grandmother Jodi Cross of Stoneburg, TX; sister Brandi Velasquez and husband Jessie of Healdton, OK; in-laws Ronnie and Janet Tacker.
