Henry Milton "Mickey" Griffith, Jr., the son of the late Bonnie Morgan Griffith and Henry Milton Griffith, Sr., was welcomed into the family on February 12, 1975. A precious child, Mickey was inquisitive, fun-loving, and a lover of music. After accepting Christ, under the pastorage of Dr. Jessie Redmond, he worked in church until he went to college where he accepted the call to the ministry.

His elementary and high school education where completed in the public schools of Jackson. He attended collage at Alcorn State University and secured a degree in music education. His first job was teaching music at George Elementary School, which is now closed. After leaving there, he held several jobs until he became the Special Projects Officer for former Supervisor Peggy Calhoun. He remained there until his health prevented him from working.

Mickey was a loving person who was very devoted to caring for his parents. He sang at his father's homegoing service which gave him a sense of hope and consolation.

Cherishing his memories are his brother Keith Walker, grandmother, Elease Morgan, his aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, church members and close friends.

Mickey was like a little Brother! Keith and I were great friends, and the three of us grew up together for a while when we were neighbors in North Jackson. I am not surprised Mickey became a minister, because I remember him always being so loving, tender and obedient to his parents. Rest well, Mickey! I feel more than I can say about your loss...
