My condolences to PW Hayes and family at the passing of their mother and grandmother, my 4th cousin, Bertha Gilchrist Hayes in Dillon SC. She was the wife of Dale Hayes. Her mother was Beulah Reaves Gilchrist (the daughter of Julius Reaves and Mattie Ford) and her father, Charlie Gilchrist (the son of Charlie Curry Gilchrist and Mattie Carmichael). Her sister, Mattie Gilchrist Huggins passed a few months ago in Syracuse NY. Surely from the Creator we come and to Him is the Return. Basheer Alim - Detroit Michigan

Dearest Cousin, Thoughts of you brings a smile to my face Because I know that you're in a better place With a smile so wide, it brings tears to my eyes. I try so hard not to cry; all of my pain I cannot hide. You always knew just what to say to anyone having a bad day. I don't know if I will ever understand, but it must be part of God's plan. As I look up toward the blue sky, I imagine you spreading your wings to fly. Tell everyone there I send my love to all of the angels up above. As the tears roll down my face, I know you are in a better place. Gone, but NEVER to be forgotten dearest cousin. Tony Carmichael
