Mr. Charlie Frank Respress

Passed 12/31/2020

Mr. Charlie Frank Respress, more affectionately known as “Weencee,” was born February 6,1949 to the late Mrs. Lucille Respress Walker and the late Mr. Theodore Respress in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. At an early age he joined the Friendship Baptist Church. He was educated in the Upson County School System and attended Drake High School, where he made friends that lasted his lifetime. Weencee enlisted in the United States Army on September 9, 1969 and served until March 10,1970, where he received an honorable discharge. After returning home, he earned his GED and furthered his education in Barbering School. He was employed by the Nabisco Company as a baker. He met and courted Ms. Juanita Ellerbee; and, on November 15, 1995, they were joined in holy matrimony. They shared thirty-five years together until his passing. Weencee enjoyed reading, especially the Bible and his daily bread; tithing to his church; watching television; watching sports; socializing with his friends on the phone talking about sports and politics; spending time with his children; and attending family gatherings. On Thursday, December 31, 2020, the Lord called Weence’s his name. He answered and went home to eternal rest. His departure has saddened the hearts of his family, but his memory will live on.
