Obituary For Sherrell Denise Merriweather

Mrs. Sherrell Denise Merriweather of Camilla, Ga., passed on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Phoebe Putney North Hospital.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00 P.M., Graveside at Oakview Cemetery, Martin Luther King, Jr. Rd., Camilla, Ga., Minister Felecia Draggs-Officiating. You may watch the service Livestream on our Nathaniel Thomas & Son Home For Funerals Facebook page.

She will be out for public viewing Saturday, 6PM-8PM.

To my dearest older sister, who made it known, she was the oldest, I will truly miss, who taught me things in life, that I always cherished, who was an amazing cook, and outspoken person, and loved her family dearly. I have several memories with my sister, but one of my fondest childhood memories of my sister, I remember when were young kids, and my sister made this cake, and for some reason it did not come out to her liking, and she was going to throw it away, but I remember she gave me that cake and I ate the whole thing, on the back of my father's pickup truck. It was me and that cake, I remember being soooo happy. I remember her always in the kitchen cooking and looked forward for her returning to Miami, because I knew I was going to enjoy some good cooked food. Me and my Sister Sherrell had some great times together and I will truly miss her, but I know that she will always be in my heart. She is no longer in pain, rest in peace my Sister. We love you but God loves you best.

I will always remember the fun time I had with Sherrell at our PHS Alumni Association 70's Ball in November 2019. We laughed and danced to those good old 70's songs. I am so glad our family took a group picture together that night. That is the last time I saw her. Praying for my sister-in-law Lydia, and the rest of the family.
