Willie Thomas Andrews Sr.

Knoxville - MR. WILLIE THOMAS ANDREWS, SR. - Age, 88 of Knoxville, TN passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was born November 22, 1932 to the late Willie and Mamie Lou Willis Andrews. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. He is retired from TVA, Holston Hills Country Club, and Andrews Electric. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Timothy Xavier Andrews, sisters, Dorothy Jones and Marie White, and brothers, Horace, Raymond, Mcbrady Andrews, and Luther Willis.

He is survived by his loving family, wife of 65 years, Annette Maryland McMahan Andrews; sons, Willie Thomas (Kenyetta Upshaw) Andrews, Jr., Michael Kevin (Harriet Clark) Andrews, Carlos Vincent, and Desmond Q. Andrews; daughters, Faye (Larry) Stoval, Angela Bly, Joyce Andrews, and Joyeisha Andrews; grandchildren, Keondra, Angela, Demarcus (Niesha), Thomas Andrews, and a host of other grandchildren; brother, David (Ruthan) Andrews; sister-in-law, Jeanette Battle; brother-in-law, George McMahan, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Following the guidelines of COVID-19, the family is enforcing that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Mass will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Tim Sullivan at Immaculate Conception of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 414 W Vine Ave, Knoxville, TN 37902. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at Unity Mortuary, 1425 McCalla Ave, Knoxville, TN 37915. Interment Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 8:30 A.M. at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc.
