Obituary For Billy Miller

Mr. Billy L. Miller, 72

Billy Louis Miller, 72 of Quitman, Georgia fell asleep in death on Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born on May 11, 1948 to the late Louis and Pearlie Miller. ‘Goat’, as he was fondly called, loved his family and valued his friendships. He attended school at Washington Street High School, excelling in football and basketball. His favorite pastime and love was fishing.

Billy married Alma G. Hill. Throughout their 22 year marriage, he was a dedicated husband and loving provider until her passing in 2016.

He worked many years with Trus Joist ‘Engineered Lumber’ Company in Valdosta, Georgia until his retirement.

Billy’s kindhearted, giving nature as a son, brother and friend is remembered by all that knew him. In later years, as he battled illness, he was lovingly cared for by his siblings, and nephew Avis.

Billy Louis Miller is survived by Jimmy E. Miller, Shirley A. (Herman) Allen, Mary A. (Elder) Shank, Janet P. Miller, Jerry D. (Rose) Miller, Arthur J. Miller; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Joann Miller and Ann Miller.

Funeral services were Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at North End Cemetery in Quitman with John Pritchett officiating.
