Mr. Michael S. Travis, Sr., 50

Michael Sean Travis, Sr. was born on August 18, 1970 in Miami Beach, Florida to Joyce Williams Travis and the late Deacon George Travis, Jr., the youngest of their three children.

He attended Miami Norland Senior High School and graduated in 1989. He was a certified driver for Western Express, Inc. at the time of his passing.

He passed away on February 11, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother Joyce Travis Chester; his children Michael S. Travis, Jr., Benjamin Travis, Johnesha Travis and Shrice Travis; his siblings Anthony Travis, Timothy Reynolds (Machelle), Juan Travis, Sr., Dr. Simone Travis O'Bryan, Shacora Boatman (James), Germael Travis (Tiffany) and Tauvis Travis; godsister Jerometta Boutin (Richard); stepsisters Clarice Bradley (Derrick), Deborah Thomas and Carla Reynolds; ex-wife Johnnie Travis; significant other Melody Hunt and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at North End Cemetery in Quitman with Apostle Jarvis Travis officiating.
