Our beloved brother Gerald Hymes will forever be in our hearts. He was my junior brother, a Father, Partner, Uncle, Cousin, Friend and avid Dallas Cowboy fan. You left us too soon my brother and we are broken hearted! What gives me comfort today is that I know that you knew the Lord. I know you're up there laughing and celebrating with Mom and Dad right now. Oh how delighted you must be to see our Angelena's face again. You were so close and attached to our Mom. Yes, stuck to her like glue up until the day she departed this life back in 1984. By the way, is the Bishop up there already singing and praising our Heavenly Father with you? I know he's probably making you sing his favorite song with him right now. Come on, let's sing it together...I want to be at the meeting, I want to be at the meeting, when all the saints get home. After separating, of the right and the wrong, I want to be at the meeting around the throne. I want to be in the number, when the saints go marching home. Trouble will be over, sorrow will be gone. Then we'll have a meeting around the throne. Rest my dear brother, rest. As in life we loved you dearly, so in death we do the same. Many hearts are broken and a chain was broken on Saturday February 27, 2021. BROKEN CHAIN: "We little knew that morning that GOD was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God call us one by one the chain will link again." Rest my little brother, rest in peace! I know all of the pain is gone now, and that gives me peace. I know your sleepless nights have ended, but know that our tears will not end for a long, long time. I know God and time will heal my heart but today I am overwhelmed with sorrow. First Mommy, then Daddy, now you. Our lives will never be the same without you in it. But you left a great legacy behind. Your five babies (well I guess I have to admit they're not babies anymore, should I say your adult children) will forever carry on your name. Quez, Brandon, Ta'Keyah-Angelena, Diamond, and Angelena I'm so sorry you had to lose your father so soon. May your hearts heel quickly as each of you find your special way to cherish his love. Gerald Hymes, We will forever keep you in our hearts. As best said by you, Gee out! - With all my Love, your Sis Kandie
